Aegir provisioning for CiviCRM & Wordpress (Alpha)
CiviCRM is a Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) software geared toward meeting the needs of non-profit and other civic-sector organizations, from grass-roots community groups to large non-profits, government agencies and even various UN agencies. They can further their mission through contact management, fundraising, event management, member management, mass e-mail marketing, peer-to-peer campaigns, case management, and much more. CiviCRM integrates with Drupal, Joomla! and WordPress.
After a quick introduction to CiviCRM, we will see how Aegir integration works. CiviCRM is not a typical Drupal module. It has its own installer, cron, upgrade scripts, which require special handling when installing, cloning or migrating sites.
On the topic of "installing not-typically-Drupal-stuff", why not add WordPress support to Aegir? We will look at the current "hosting_wordpress" proof of concept and the road ahead.
